Become A Threat: Method to this madness

06/10/10  ||  Altmer

I am so fucking sick of all this hardcore influenced bullshit. Yelled vocals, riffs, breakdowns, whatever. It’s always the same bullshit. Guys with saucer-ears, worker shirts, car mechanic-style tattoos – you know the lot. Back when Slayer and Pantera grew up it was kind of cool, but in the modern day this lot can go fuck itself. The joke is over, the trend is done, and I’m past basic angst, anger and DUN DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN RAAAAAAAAAAARGH.

This band sounds no different from the rest of the lot and I am thankful the LP (or EP more like) is only 24 minutes long. Hardcore riffs meet a bit of thrashy spunk, annoying constipated hardcore vocals meet… nothing, generic songwriting meets my baseball bat, and the band members meet the giant cocks of their friends up their tattooed asses. There is just no reason for me to have this. Slayer exists, right? Lamb of God exists, right? Even decent metalcore bands exist, right? Then why would I listen to a bad version of a genre I already don’t like? I don’t understand you people. I don’t understand the lot of them Americans and I don’t understand who listens to this. Where can I find the addicts of this brocore nonsense and how soon till we can make them all crawl like cockroaches?

If you are into middle-of-the-road metalcore with a slight hint of thrash, this is your album, but me? I am going to listen to something good now. Which includes, oh well, everything in my collection that is not this fucking album. Fuck you. Whatever the band pretends, they are not a threat. I am a threat after witnessing this album. A threat with a giant penis. With which I will club these ten-year-olds over the head.

Recommendation: Death.
